Grind your teeth or sing your praises over the latest breaking news. Join the conversation. This newspaper covers a broad spectrum of categories from travel to politics, a little bit of everything for everyone. Nationally and Internationally you are hearing it first at Jawbreaker. This editorial independent style design, with it's edgy modern aesthetic, was aimed to attract a younger audience 18-35yrs old. The concept behind the name, Jawbreaker, came from the over dramatic act of grinding one's teeth over controversial content or conversation. Strong bold san serif and slab typefaces paired with contrasting black and white primary colours and a pop of orange/pink defines the mood in this stark eye catching newspaper. Adding the handwritten typeface with the pop of colour for quotes was intended to add texture, focus and personality to the newspapers otherwise serious and structured voice.
